GREEN DESERT Foal Goes For 320,000 Guineas

Amid much excitement a GREEN DESERT colt foal out of KRISALYA fetched 320,000 guineas at Tattersalls December Foal Sales, confirming his place among the UK's premier stallions. Seamus Burns of Lodge Park Stud opened the bidding for the colt at 20,000 guineas and fought off allcomers before securing the colt for 320,000 guineas. Consigned by Collin Stud on behalf of Haydock Park Stud , the sale represented a windfall for the colt's breeders who had purchased the dam KRISALYA at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale in 1998 for 16,000 guineas.
