The leading sire of two-year-olds in Europe (in order of percentage of winners to runners, based on a minimum of fifteen juvenile runners) is currently GREEN DESERT. His percentage of winners to runners is an impressive 47.37%, with nine two-year-old winners from nineteen runners.
The most notable of these include the David Loder trained pair BYRON (ex Gay Gallanta), who was 3rd in the TNT July Stakes (Gr.2) at Newmarket, following a Newmarket maiden win, and KHELEYF (ex Society Lady), who took his maiden at York before finishing 2nd in the Norfolk Stakes (Gr.3) at Royal Ascot. Other promising perfomances have come form dual winner HOLBORN (ex Court Lane), DESERT DREAMER (ex Follow That Dream) and the John Dunlop trained filly NATALIYA (ex Ninotchka).
