First winner for MUJAHID

MUJAHID's first two-year-old's got off the mark today at Pontefract when KING'S GAIT took the opener in fine style. He made nothing of the heavy ground when recording a pillar-to-post win in the 'EBF Thorne Maiden Stakes' over 5f. Tim Easterby's inmate is owned and bred by Mrs E J Wills, and looks like a good prospect.

RISK SEEKER contributed to a good afternoon for Shadwell stallions. The son of ELMAAMUL was already a dual group winner, and he added to his tally today at Ascot when taking the Sagaro Stakes (G3). He destroyed the rest of the field with an 18l winning margin over DUSKY WARBLER. MILLENARY was a further 11l back in third.
