MUJAHID added winners three and four to his tally in the space of 24 hours at the end of last week. Thursday evening at Leicester saw the Fulke Johnston-Houghton trained INTOXICATING (ex SALALAH) defy odds of 14-1 to score by a convincing one-and-a-half lengths in the Maiden Auction Stakes over six furlongs. The colt was bred by Richard William's Scorrier House Stud and purchased by his trainer at the Tattersalls October Sales last year for 20,000gns.
The following afternoon SKY CRUSADER (ex RED CLOUD) won by an even more impressive two-and-a-half lengths when taking another Maiden Auction Stakes at Folkestone, prompting trainer Roger Ingram to remark "He's useful, and it looks as though I've got something to look forward to." Bred by Mr & Mrs Aram's Furnace Mill Stud, the colt passed through the ring unsold at 14,500gns in October.
