MUJAHID to stand in Italy for 2007 season

Shadwell Estate Co Ltd are pleased to announce that MUJAHID will be standing the 2007 season at Allev. di Besnate in Italy. Manger, Paolo Crespi, released the following statement:

 

"The most exciting new recruit for Italy in 2007 will be MUJAHID, the European Champion 2yo of 1988, that Shadwell will stand in Italy under the Besnate management, alongside the already successful MUNIR and EKRAAR, who will have his first runners in 2007.

Chiusura GR3, 4° Primi Passi GR3, 5° Gran Criterium GR1), Velvet Revolver (2nd Premio Umbria GR3, 4th Prix du Cercle L.) and Furia Ceca (3° Pr. Campobello, L.).

MUJAHID, who has only 3 crops of racing age, has an exceptional American background, totally exotic for the Iitalian mares pedigrees, being by Danzig out of a Storm Cat mare out of a Fappiano mare.  MUJAHID is expected back in January by his usual Australian shuttling. His fee will be Eu 6000, topped by the usual Shadwell concession of a Special Live Foal nomination agreement."
